Slopestyle Txoripapa
December 22nd 2007, Formigal, Spain
200 riders came to that very special slopestyle in Formigal, Spain right before Christmas. A competition with unusual prices and ranking rules. Not the best trick or run won, but, for example, the rider that came first to get his bib. Other prices went to the youngest rider, the one that tried the hardest, whether he landed or not, and so on. Nobody knew what the prices there were, so they just had to ride for fun and joy. The name of the contest, Txoripapa, is also the name of a dish made of red sausage and potatoes. All the participants had a meal of txoripapa after the event.
The video was made by our Spansih friends from Snowticias.com. And if Spanish is your mother tongue, go check out their website. They have shralp in Spanish!

Hang your board on the wall
Product Tip
So you got this cool board for Christmas that you want to show of to all your friends - I mean real friends not the one on Facebook - and you want to hang that board at the wall of your room. No longer a difficult thing. We found this Belgian Company Rixon, that produces a simple wall mounting system. Just two screws and 2 brackets thats it. It’s cheap, too. 5 Euros or a little more over 7US. Check out their website for more infos. ///

Avalanche Awareness Camps
Spitzing Feb, 5th & Ifen Feb, 16th
Last week we had a couple of avalanche victims here in the alps.
But avalances don’t need to be a risk! If you never had an avalanche awareness training, get one now! Check with your local store, check with your resort, check the web for a camp near you. If you are in Germany, Millhaus has two camps for you in Spitzing and Kleinwalsertal. Go to millhaus.com now and register. Get the right equipment, get an avalanche beacon, a probe and a shovel. Learn to use the stuff. If there is bad conditions and you cannot ride, grab your buddies and train finding a beacon. You just have 15 minutes to save your buddy if he got caught by an avalanche.
We don’t want to loose one of our viewers - it’s your responsibility. ///
