Air & Style Quarter Pipe

February 2nd, 2008 / Innsbruck Austria

Air and Style is coming home. Welcome to shralp! Episode 91 from February 10th 2008.
Since the Air & Style Organizers had left Innsbruck a couple of years ago, they were looking for an opportunity to bring back this competition to where it originated in 1993. Now in 2008 a huge quaterpipe and a crowd of 12,000 spectators welcomed the 24 invited riders.
The highest Air award went to Jack Mitrani, USA whose air was clocked at 8.7 meters.
In the superfinals of eight riders, the third place went to the Finish rider Peetu Piiroinen, who did a backside 5 Tailgrab at 6.50 m.
Second place went to Scotty Lago with a frontside 720 Alley Oop at the heights of 6.8 meters.
Kevin Pearce, who also won the Air & Style in Munich last December, became first, doing a 7.1 meter high Backside 540 Alley Oop.
