Snow is still an issue!
Welcome to shralp! episode 93 from March 9th 2008.
And you need a lot of snow to build an object the size of the Red Bull Gap Session kicker. Although it was warm and has been raining during the construction in the end everything went awesome. The 18 invited riders where extremely motivated and showed big and gnarly airs. In the end it was Chris Sörman who impressed his fellow competitors - who were also the judges - most. He won best overall performance and also the longest airtime, being detached from ground for 2.81 seconds.
David Benedek, one of the initiators, won the best trick award for his Frontside Doublecork 1080.
The Red Bull Gap Session has been heavily filmed so we will have a best of clip in the next episode of shralp! In the meantime check the website for more clips.

TTR 6 Star The Arctic Challenge / February 18-23 2008 / Oslo, Norway

Not as high as last year but still imprssive. The Arctic Challenge held in Oslo, Norway two weeks ago.
Super hero Nicolas Müller and his famous McTwist became only fifth.
Mega hero Terje Haakonson made it forth with his also famous MyTwist Japan tweak.
Third place went to Peetu Piiroinen with a classic Backside 5.
US boy Shayne Pospisil became second with the uniqueness of a frontside 3.
Kevin Pearce won the challenge with a backside 5 double grab.
