US Open 2008
Stratton, VT / March 17 - 23 2008
Hurry, hurry! We just have 3 minutes. Welcome to shralp! episode 95 from April 6th 2008. The main US-Open Sponsor - you know the name - says we cannot show more than 3 minutes of the US-Open Competition, so we quickly rush through this one week event.
Slopestyle was on Friday, March 21st. Kevin Pearce, who is TTR champ now, didn’t make it to the finals which made him a little nervous back then. There was a red haired guy chasing him in the world ranking trying to get the champ title, too.
3rd place in the slopestyle went to Canadian ripper Charles Reid. Heavy wind made riding difficult.
Tim Humphrey handled the wind well - 2nd place for him.
And then Shaun White. His first run was scored best run of the day - first place for him and Kevin seeing his TTR Champion Trophy going down the drain.
But then Saturday came Pipe and Kevin Pearce made it 3rd - securing him the TTR Champion title.
Mason Aguirre, 2nd place for him.

Total Fight
March 29 2008 / Grandvalira, Andorra
Squeezed in between France and Spain, the little country Andorra hosts a nice winter sport resort with a nice contest: The Grandvalira Total Fight.
This TTR 4 Star slope style attacked 100 riders who fought for the 17,000 Euros price money.
Blue Skies, fresh snow, a beautifully shaped park and a 3rd place for Frenchman Victor de le Rue.
Rudi Kröll impressed the judges all day long but didn’t stick his Frontside 10 over the big kicker. 2nd place for him in this head to head format event.
Ville Uotila however came out on top with a super smooth run consisting of a switch BS 9 off the big kicker, a FS 7 off the step-up, finishing with a FS 180 to Switch BS 5 off the butter box.
