Happy faces at the end of the Air and Style in Innsbruck. Welcome to shralp! episode 139 from December 13, 2009.
It was clear that the audience will like this event. Straight Air came back to the Berisel Stadion in Innsbruck Austria where the Air and Style and the straight air concept started ages ago in 1993.
But what makes Marko Grilc happy - he wasn’t even invited?
Well, during practice, conditions changed quickly between icy or slow inrun, soft or hard landing. This lead to some dropouts like Mikkel Bang and TTR#1 Sebastien Toutant due to injuries.
Marko got his chance and made it all the way to superfinals. Beating team mate and current TTR champion Peetu Piiroinen he won the Air and Style and became new TTR tour leader himself.
Peetu Piiroinen became second - same trick as Marko, but not switch.
Third place Andreas Wiig with this Frontside 1080 Double Flip.
Iouri Podladtchikov wasn’t really sticking anything in the superfinals and became 4th. but kicked out Elias Elhardt in the second round with this trick.
Some other runs of this contest:
6th place for Werner Stock.
Elias became 7th with this double cork 1080 - he was happy, too.
Not so happy: Travis Rice only became 15th.
And we should not forget Seppe Smits the winner of the Rookie Challenge stomping this Backside 12. We will see him again next year.
