May 8th - 18th / Teahupoo, Tahiti
And it happened again. While the waves were absolutely pumping during the VZ Trials, the main event was struggling to get one decent ground swell. Welcome to episode 56 of shralp surf! Once during the trials it actually got so big, that the contest had to be postponed. Coming out on top of the trials was Hawaiian switch footer Jamie O’Brien, second place went to well known Brazilian charger Bruno Santos. Now over to the main event…
While Jamie O’s winning streak ended in round two, local wildcard Manoa Drollet and Bruno Santos created surprises and upsets on their way into the final, eliminating the likes of Slater, Fanning and Burrow. And while the Tahitians tried to scream Manoa to the top of the podium from the channel, it was quiet Santos who took out the 2008 Billabong Pro Tahiti. billabongpro.com

Comments:
What was the name of the song used at the first segment of the video during the VZ Trials and the main event?
Hi Dan! Unfortunazely I don’t know. I got the vid off Billabong without credits. I’ll try to find out. Give me two three days,
Quirin
